– Which issues of your country’s domestic and foreign agenda, which national civic initiatives and specific upcoming events, in your view, should attract the attention of foreign media in order to fully demonstrate your country’s role and contribution to the development of multilateral relations and the growth of mutual understanding between peoples?
– Key domestic and foreign agenda items, national civic initiatives, and upcoming events in Nepal that should attract the attention of foreign media include:
• Various government and non-government initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Regional trade, tourism, and cultural exchange programs.
• New initiatives in education, health, and technology that connect Nepal with the international community.
– What stereotypes about your country are currently widespread in public opinion in other states? How can journalists and media from other countries help to debunk these stereotypes and promote a relevant, modern image of your country?
– Nepal is still often seen merely as a tourist and mountaineering destination in some countries. Media from other countries can help dispel this stereotype by showcasing Nepal’s modern developments in education, science, technology, and other sectors.
– What is your attitude toward the idea of creating a single Eurasian information space? In what formats, in your opinion, can and should interaction between media from different countries be developed? Do you have experience of international cooperation with journalists and editorial offices from other states? How useful and important has this experience been?
– I welcome the idea of a unified Eurasian information space. Interaction between media from different countries can be developed through conferences, online dialogue, and collaborative reporting. KTM Voice has already engaged in international cooperation, which has enriched our perspectives and experience.
– In your opinion, does an “ideal media outlet” exist in today’s world, and is it possible in principle? Could you name a publication or a specific journalist (from any era) who, in your view, has an impeccable reputation and authority?
– A completely ideal media outlet may be hard to achieve in today’s world, but media that maintain truth, impartiality, and quality can be considered exemplary. In my view, outlets such as BBC and Reuters have impeccable reputations.
